county treasurer's office is responsible for the tax
billing, collection and distribution of tax money for the state,
county, cities and all other taxing entities that levy Ad Valorem
(Property) and/or special assessment taxes. The treasurer is also
responsible for all other moneys belonging to Elk County and/or
directed by law to be paid to the treasurer. In addition, the
treasurer serves as an agent for the State Department of Revenue,
Division of Motor Vehicles for the administration of vehicle titles and registrations. The Treasurer's office is
also responsible for issuing driver's licenses.
Out-of-state drivers license holders must go to a
full service exam station
CDL license holders must go to a full service exam station.

Payment by Cash, Check or Credit Card (2.5% fee assessed by KANPAY
credit card processing center when paying by credit card)
Cars, 12M trucks & RVs: Property taxes are paid at the
time of registration.
"A" tags & heavy truck & trailer renewals due by
February 28 @ 5:00 PM.
